Our lives are like a goalkeeper

Our lives are like a poor goalkeeper, you save 9 out of 10, no one gives a damn. But you concede 1 and everyone will start losing their mind.

In fact, being a good person is like being a goalkeeper, no matter how many goals you save, some people will remember the only one you missed.

Hypocrisy, partiality, biased behaviour has drastically increased. we create different rules for different people according to our own needs and selfishness.

It’s disheartening how judgmental society has become. Unfortunately, we all are also a part of that. How often we judge others, we just see what an individual has done but we are least bothered about why he has done that. Isn’t it wrong?

Sometimes we don’t understand the value someone adds to our lives. We don’t realize their efforts, care, love and when we do it already becomes too late 🙂

If you have 100 bucks, you lose a buck then it won’t affect you much. But when you have only a single buck and you lose that then it may badly affect you because it could mean a world to you.

The same implies to people as well. It totally depends on us how we save that buck 🙂

Best quotes on goalkeeping by Iker Casillas

  • Beyond remembering me as a good goalkeeper or a bad goalkeeper, I just hope that people remember me for being a good person.

  • For goalkeepers, confidence comes from games and minutes. So whenever someone gives you an opportunity or shows faith in you, it always gives you a boost.

  • I think a big part of success in football is mental, not physical. How you are inside your head matters more.

You can get a lot from these quotes – before being a successful person be a good person first, show faith in your friends, family, colleagues and obviously yourself too.

Walk-in a person’s shoe for a mile then judge them. Don’t forget even though your life is like a goalkeeper who can’t win you matches but he can save. The moral of the story is never underestimate your life, you can make a big impact by doing constant small things with discipline.
